Apprentice of the month – December 2023

Well done to Jack, our December Apprentice of the Month!

Jack began his Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship in the Early Years sector at Freerangers Forest School in May 2021.

Jack’s selection for this award is due to his outstanding achievements, strong commitment, and positive attitude throughout his apprenticeship. Despite facing health challenges that required time off, Jack showed great dedication, returning eagerly to complete his Level 3 qualification and going on to finish earlier than planned.

Working with his tutor, Sophie, Jack has actively found ways that suit him to achieve the evidence needed, and demonstrated maturity in his role, earning him a promotion to Deputy Room Leader, which is a great achievement.

Looking ahead, Jack aims to excel in his new role as Deputy Room Leader, build confidence, gain more experience in forest school activities, and possibly pursue a qualification as a Forest School Leader.

Sophie, Jack’s tutor, commended him, saying, “Well done Jack for completing your qualification, especially a bit earlier! You’ve worked really hard with me to carry out assessments through audio recording, suiting your way of working. It’s really positive that you managed to finish a bit earlier than planned too. Good luck with your future in early years!

Jack expressed his pride in completing his Level 3 on time despite health challenges, sharing, “I am proud to have completed my level 3 on time, even though it took me some time due to health reasons.”

Congratulations to Jack, and we wish him continued success in the Early Years sector and Forest School education!
