On which courses are you a tutor?
Why did you become a tutor?
I want to share my skills, expertise and knowledge of beauty therapy and the exciting opportunities available.
What do you think is the most interesting aspect of the courses you deliver?
The most interesting aspect are the practical sessions and watching learners develop their own skills and abilities.
What experiences of your own do you bring to the courses?
I studied beauty therapy in 1996 and went on to work in beauty spas and salons, before settling with my own successful beauty business in Gloucestershire, specialising in nail technology and bridal makeup. In 2012, I sold my business to focus on teaching beauty therapy and I also continued to work within the industry. I love all aspects of beauty and have exceptional customer care standards from other areas of work too.
What do you love about working for Somerset Skills and Learning?
I’m new to SS&L, so I’m looking forward to flourishing in my role.
What advice would you give to anyone considering your courses?
Chat with me! I can guide you in the direction of many opportunities and can guarantee the benefits of working in beauty therapy are rewarding and achievable.
If you were stuck in a lift with someone, who would it be and why?
Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters front man! Because he’s the coolest man in rock and I love him!
What is your most annoying habit?
I talk too much and I’m a very fussy perfectionist!
