Have a natter about numbers with us!

Love it or loathe it, we all have something to say about maths, and ‘The Big Number Natter’ is the UK’s only nationwide conversation about numbers. Join us at one of our events…

Why is ‘The Big Number Natter’ happening?

Half of the UK’s working age adults have low numeracy levels, which makes people more vulnerable to debt, unemployment, poor health, and fraud – all made worse by Covid-19 and the cost of living crisis. Everyone can improve their numeracy and talking about numbers is a fantastic first step!

When is it?

It’s this month! We’re supporting #NationalNumeracyDay on 17 May 2023, and this also falls during another campaign close to our heart – Learning at Work Week (15-21 May), with the theme of ‘Create the Future’.

Where is it?

We have activities taking place all over Somerset, both in person and online, including our free virtual Lunch & Learn Workshops. We’re here to help you improve your numeracy, and create the future you want where your dreams can become reality by removing number barriers.

Monday 15 May

Maths anxiety is very real, and we’ll be joining MIND Somerset at their event in Yeovil, offering advice and support about overcoming maths anxiety and gaining confidence with numeracy.
