These courses can equip you with the professional knowledge, skills and qualifications you need to either study a higher education course at university or college or progress in your career, giving you a great head start and the opportunity to go further…
What is a Level 3 Qualification?
A Level 3 qualification is equivalent to A Level or a Technical Certificate or Diploma and typically takes six months to complete.
What courses are available with SS&L?
We recently launched two Level 3 courses, which are delivered remotely:
- Level 3 ILM Diploma Leadership and Management – beginning 1 April 2021. Do you want to be secure in your ability to carry out a management role? This course is ideal if you currently have managerial responsibilities or aspire to take them on in the future and have no formal training. Study at times to suit you and fast-track your progression!
- Level 3 Certificate in SEN – start anytime. This qualification provides the knowledge and understanding to enable you to work with children and young people with special educational needs in schools. The course will provide the skills for you to progress within the sector as part of a new or existing role.

What if I don’t meet the eligibility criteria for the course to be free?
If you’re not eligible for funding, you may wish to take out an Advanced Learner Loan, repayable only when your earnings exceed £28,000 and deducted from your salary before tax. *Eligibility criteria – you must be aged 24 and over, have lived in the UK/EEA for the last 3 years, currently reside in England and previously have not achieved a full Level 3 qualification (2 A Levels or a Diploma) or above.
