Join Amy for our new fun musical play sessions with added numeracy activities for babies and their adults. Spaces are limited and always sell out.
This is one of the free courses available for parents wanting to increase their numeracy skills in order to help their children, and help with their own progression
Maths through Play. To many adults, the words Maths and Play have absolutely nothing to do with each other. For many of us, maths was a torture, something we had to do, and something we didn’t understand and couldn’t do. Play on the other hand was something we loved. Young children are learning maths all the time through a wide variety of play experiences. From the time they are born, babies are surrounded by sense impressions. Shapes in particular are of immediate importance: babies react instinctively to the arrangement of shapes which make up the human face.
Baby Bluebirds is a fun and interactive way to entertain and educate your little ones. Each session is filled with research driven activities for babies’ numeracy, literacy, and musical development. Experienced teacher Amy Hardwick will lead thesession using music, vocal play and harmony singing to develop your numeracy, musicality, and love of the Arts.
Parents and carers are nurtured within a welcoming atmosphere. Class sizes are intentionally small to help interaction and relationships. Baby Bluebirds use good quality instruments, wonderful songs and rhymes that won’t hurt the ears!
Classes will start on Thursday 4th January at 10.10 at the Brewhouse Theatre, Taunton
Assessment of the learning will be completed by the tutor and direct feedback given to the learners
