Course overview

As food prices rise, can you spot the best value for money items when you walk around the supermarket, or does all the promotional information leave you bamboozled?

After a morning spent browsing the local supermarket shelves with the friendly staff from ARK and Multiply, choosing which ingredients you would buy for your given recipe, you will return to ARK for lunch.

In the afternoon, you will find out whether you have been a savvy shopper and caught the best bargains. You will look at shelf edge labels; different pack sizes; multipacks, loyalty cards and special offers. You will also work out the difference in price between baking it and buying it! How much could you save?

Come and join us in the tranquil setting in ARK at Egwood on Thursday November 2nd from 10:30am – 3pm.

This workshop is ideal for those who would appreciate help in breaking down the barriers with numbers and build confidence too. It is also for those who wish for help in using maths in everyday life.

Course assessment

Assessment of the learning will be completed by the tutor and direct feedback given to the learners.

Course progression

At the end of this workshop, if you’d like to continue with your learning in this subject, you’ll be able to progress onto our Developer Level workshop or course.
