Course overview

In this online workshop you will look at the different methods of self-care during these uncertain times, and how you can apply this to your daily routine to improve health and wellbeing.

You will gain the knowledge of the 5 ways to wellbeing, and the positive effect this has when applied to daily living. You will look at identifying those things we have control over and establishing a routine. You will explore the importance of sleep, keeping active and getting outdoors regularly, along with the support that is available in Somerset and nationally.

Course assessment

Learning outcomes will be discussed with learners throughout the workshop, and following completion if required.

Course progression

Upon completion of this workshop, learners will have increased knowledge and confidence to continue their learning journey.

Progression opportunities will include attendance to other SS&L Health and Wellbeing courses and workshops, Community Learning workshops being offered by MIND, Level 2 Certificate in awareness of Mental Health Problems, Distance Learning with SS&L.

Entry Requirements:

This course is free for learners aged 19+, who live in Somerset or BANES, and have lived in the UK for the last three years.

This course will be delivered online via Zoom, so you will need to be competent in using IT.
