Course overview

This course is for individuals that wish to develop their understanding of ways to save money and how to make Flapjacks including taking what you make home along with a free recipe.

The course will begin with the first 45 minutes being a presentation on how to save money followed by Flapjack making. Before and during the workshop they will discuss maths involved in the process i.e. weights and measure, conversions and proportions. It will also cover nutritional information and cost of ingredients comparing them to shop bought food.

Not only will this course provide insight into ways to save money on food shops, but it is also a great way to learn and practice cooking skills allowing learners to develop their independence whilst also developing their maths skills in everyday life.

Course assessment

Assessment of the learning will be completed by the tutor and direct feedback given to the learners
