This qualification is designed to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges, which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment in the health and social care sector. It could be useful to learners working in education settings.
To achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Behaviour that Challenges, learners must successfully demonstrate their achievement of all learning outcomes and assessment criteria of the units as detailed in the qualification specification. Grades are not awarded.
You will be assessed by your tutor or assessor using a range of methods. This could include direct observation in the workplace, a portfolio of evidence, written assignments or a task.
This course is assessed via coursework. There are no exams included.
You may wish to attend our other workshops and courses related to your personal development or access our Adult Skills courses.

There are no specific prior qualifications needed to access this qualification, although learners may find it useful to have previously achieved a Level 1 qualification in a health, social care or mental-health related area.
Learners should ideally have the equivalent of Level 1 literacy skills, however, a formal qualification is not required as this will be assessed prior to starting the course.
Learners need access to the internet and a computer/laptop to complete the coursework.
