This online Level 3 course is ideal for you if you want to gain a recognised qualification to work as an Early Years Educator.
You will cover a variety of topics, which will enable you to work with children from birth to 5 years, and gain knowledge of children aged 5 to 7 years.
This online course will run fortnightly on Tuesday evenings, from 6-8pm. Specialist tutors will deliver a variety of content. You will be supported by an individual tutor, who will carry out workplace observations, reviews and assessments. This flexible delivery model enables you to study around your other commitments.
The course is assessed via workplace observations and collecting a portfolio of evidence containing assignments, workplace documentation and a longitudinal study.
After completion of this course you may wish to progress to the Level 5 Diploma for the Early Years Senior Practitioner qualification or higher education courses.
To study for this qualification, you will need to be working or volunteering in an Early Years Childcare setting for at least 10 hours a week.
Learners should ideally have the equivalent of Level 1 literacy skills, however, a formal qualification is not required as this will be assessed prior to starting the course.
The coursework for this award will be completed electronically. Learners will need access to a internet enabled PC or laptop with Microsoft Windows or Apple software to access the portfolio system required for the course evidence. Please talk to a member of the SS&L team if you do not have access to any of these devices.
Applicants for this course may be eligible to apply for an advanced learner loan. Find out more about fees and funding.
