This course comprises of two online workshops, where you will gain awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
You will improve your knowledge of mental health, debunk the myths and gain awareness and knowledge of the signs of poor mental health.
You will learn techniques for starting conversations about mental health with others.
You will explore management techniques and ways in which you can care for yourself and others.
The workshops will run online via Zoom.
Be prepared should you or somebody you know experience mental health concerns. This valuable course will give you the confidence and tools to offer and provide support, or apply techniques to your daily living to improve wellbeing.
There are no assessments or exams for this workshop.
Our Community Learning workshops and courses are designed to improve confidence, self-esteem, resilience and motivation. At the end of the workshop you will discuss with our experienced tutor, how you can continue to expand on your learning. This may be activities to continue with what you have learnt, and/or signposting to other courses and workshops available within SS&L or external organisations.

There are no qualifications required for this workshop, just a willingness to learn.
This workshop will be delivered via Zoom so you will need to ensure you have access to IT on the day and are competent with using Zoom.
This course is free if you are aged over 19, live in Somerset or B&NES, and have lived in the UK/EU for the last three years
