This short online workshop will be delivered by our childcare team and is for parents, carers and professionals wanting to gain knowledge of the importance of music and movement in early years.
You will learn about the importance of music and movement for children and you will gain the skills and knowledge to be able to apply them to everyday living.
This workshop will run online via Zoom on the morning of the 19th March 2021.
Physical movement and music improves health and wellbeing. If you are wanting to explore ways to improve children’s wellbeing, this workshop is for you.
There are no assessments or exams for this workshop.
Our Community Learning workshops and courses are designed to improve confidence, self-esteem, resilience and motivation. At the end of the workshop you will discuss with our experienced tutor, how you can continue to expand on your learning. This may be activities to continue with what you have learnt, and/or signposting to other courses and workshops available within SS&L or external organisations.
Following attendance to this workshop, you may be interested in our other free Community Learning workshops: Tuff Tray activities, fun phonic activities, outdoor play, child behaviour (Early Years) and literacy activities for the under 5’s.

Many of our learners choose to explore other SS&L community learning courses, workshops and qualifications following attendance to our Music and Movement workshop.
There are no qualifications required for this workshop, just a willingness to learn.
This workshop will be delivered via Zoom so you will need to ensure you have access to IT on the day and are competent with using Zoom.
This course is free if you are aged over 19, live in Somerset or B&NES, and have lived in the UK/EU for the last three years
