Do you have a child in year 5 or 6 studying Key Stage 2 maths? Do you feel confident helping them understand basic maths problems?

If you answered ‘no’, you’re not alone! Home schooling has well and truly highlighted how many of us lack the confidence and skills required to understand and teach our children basic maths.

Join our qualified maths tutor for this FREE 90-minute workshop and learn how you can best support your child to succeed with KS2 maths.

Choose from a morning or afternoon session to fit around your schedule. This workshop is designed to help you feel more confident helping your family with KS2 maths – for home schooling and beyond!

Course assessment

There are no formal assessments for this course.

Course progression

After this workshop, learners may benefit from taking the ‘Creating and Managing a Budget’ course which is designed to help you manage your household finances. They may also wish to explore Functional Skills Maths or GCSE Maths qualifications.

Entry Requirements:

This workshop is for parents/carers of children in years 5 and 6 (Key Stage 2). There are no entry requirements for this course. Learners must have access to a good Wi-Fi connection.

It is free for anyone living in Somerset or the WECA region aged 19+, who has been in the UK over three years.
