Course overview

This workshop is for anyone who would like to learn more about special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Delving further into the causes and characteristics of conditions such as ADHD, autism and dyslexia, you will learn how these conditions develop over time and the strengths and challenges for people that have them.

During this friendly and relaxed course, over 3 in-depth sessions, you can learn about the following aspects of SEND:

· Executive Functioning and SEND - Learn about the strengths and challenges of living with conditions that affect attention, planning, organisation and emotions.

· Growing Up with a Different Brain - Learn about the brain development of different conditions and how growing up with neurodiversity can impact people on the autism spectrum and those with ADHD and dyslexia.

· SEND and Mental Health - Find out more about how mental health can be affected by neurodiversity, and learn some simple techniques for managing mental health.

With opportunities to ask any questions you have about SEND, share your experiences and learn from others, this workshop will give you a more detailed knowledge on the subject of SEND.

There is no formal assessment for this course. Your tutor will provide regular feedback.
