This workshop is for children aged 5 – 11 (and their grown up). It offers a fun and child-friendly way to understand how the body responds to stress, and to learn techniques to manage emotions and improve wellbeing.
Come and enjoy fun and engaging activities that will help both you and your child to understand yourselves better and learn how to boost your wellbeing together.
The techniques you will learn can be integrated into your daily routine at home and/or be used as “emotional first aid” in those tricky moments that all families experience.
The perfect excuse to get out of the house and bond with your little ones this February half-term. Children to be supervised by their adult at all times.
Please bring a cushion/pillow, a towel/blanket for each of you and a small toy for your child. These will be used as part of the activities during the workshop.
This workshop is not formally assessed, but you will receive regular feedback from your tutor.
At the end of this workshop, if you’d like to continue with your learning in this subject, you’ll be able to progress onto our Starter Level workshop or course. “Wellbeing for Parenting” courses will be starting in Spring 2024, please check the SS&L website for further details.
Our workshops and courses are designed to provide essential skills, develop confidence and resilience, improve your health & wellbeing, prepare you for further learning or employment, provide ways to learn with your family and build communities. We have a wide range of workshops and courses and you can explore more on our website. There’s something for everyone!
