This course can be fully funded (FREE) for people aged 19 or over:

• who live in Somerset (not including Bath & North-East Somerset/North Somerset) or Dorset
• AND have lived in the UK/EU for the last 3 years or have leave to remain
• AND are employed with an annual income of less than £25,000 OR are unemployed AND in receipt of benefits.

Proof of eligibility will be requested.

You should ideally have the equivalent of Level 1 literacy skills. However, a formal qualification is not required as this will be assessed before starting the course.

You will need access to the internet and a computer/laptop to complete the coursework.

You will complete coursework to evidence and achieve the 5 mandatory units of this qualification. Your dedicated personal Tutor will support you by assessing your work and providing you with constructive feedback to help you produce the standard of evidence required.

There are no exams.

You will gain access to further learning by achieving this qualification, including the full Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning In Schools. Completing both courses would support progression to apprenticeship opportunities at Level 3 Teaching Assistant Standard.
