George – Teaching Assistant Apprentice

Apprentice Teaching Assistant (Trinity First School, Frome 2019)

As George would like to become a primary school teacher in the future, so he chose the apprenticeship route to start that journey. His apprenticeship has helped him develop as person and he feels more confident in everything he does. George’s apprenticeship has helped him learn about the job, whilst gaining lots of valuable and important experience.

George says, “I enjoy going to work each day and love facing the challenges that the job brings. It has helped me get closer to the place I want to be. I like helping the children to improve and develop and everyone has made me feel very welcome throughout my time at the school.”

George’s ultimate goal is to go to university and then become a primary school teacher.

George’s Head Teacher says, “His attitude and working relationships are excellent. The teachers regularly comment on how he will do anything that is asked of him and never complains. His overall work performance is excellent, and he is building skills as he takes on more responsibility.”
