Course Lead – 16-19 Programme

Location: Somerset - base to be agreed

Salary: £29,486-£31,458

Hours: Full time - 37 hours per week

Who we’re looking for: 

Due to high demand growth in our thriving 16-19 provision the existing curriculum team are looking for an inspirational person to join SS&L. This exciting new opportunity to help develop and grow one of our many high performing sectors for 2024/25 academic year and beyond. 

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate combined maths and English Tutor to join our dynamic team. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experiences of young learners, fostering their academic development, and preparing them for future success. This position involves working with students aged 16 to 19, providing support and guidance to help them achieve their academic goals. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective Functional English and maths lessons tailored to the needs of 16-19-year-old students. 
  • Lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of courses of your team. 
  • Manage a small team of Tutors to ensure effective teaching practices. 
  • Monitor and assess learner progress, providing feedback and support as needed. 
  • Collaborate with the curriculum development team to update and improve course content. 
  • Ensure compliance with educational standards and qualification regulations. 
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. 
  • Support the quality improvement plans 
  • Provide the 16-19 Delivery Manager with caseload overview summaries at monthly meetings.
