This Christmas season, make the most of what we have on offer to create your own sustainable decorations, cards, and wrapping paper, join the centuries-long tradition of telling stories at Christmas, and get creative with classes to suit every skill level.
We’ve also launched lots of one-day creative workshops, giving you the chance to test the waters without long term commitment! With multiple workshops all over Somerset, there should be something for everyone.
Family Winter Holiday Crafts
Connect with your children by learning something new together this December. Bringing together a range of different crafting techniques to honour the changing seasons and to celebrate traditional winter festivals. Projects will include creating seasonal decorations, including a wreath or garland, tree decorations, festive puppets, and snowflakes or stars. You’ll also have the opportunity to create your own sustainable gift cards, gift wrap and tags.
Make this winter one to celebrate with two after-school sessions and one in the school holidays, there will be plenty of ideas to keep your child or children busy over the break!
Building Confidence Through Creativity: Photography – Using the Camera on your Phone
See the world through new eyes – yours! This course invites you to explore photography as a gentle, creative means of self-expression and confidence building. There’s no expectation of technical perfection or competition, but a focus on curiosity, play, and connection. Impress your followers with an upgrade to your Instagram content this Christmas!
Exploring Creative Writing: Christmas Stories
In our brand new venue, Woolavington Community Hub, join in on the centuries-long tradition of telling stories at Christmas. Share your memories of Christmas, express your ideas through writing, and learn to turn them into a Christmas themed short story. Over three weeks explore storyboards, characters, and story structures as you bring your ideas to life on the page. You’ll also have an opportunity to share your work with the group, learning from each other in a supportive and friendly space.

Our New to Somerset courses have been such a hit on our socials that we’ve decided to run them again for the festive season!
Learn all about the local area while improving your English and meeting like-minded people.
