New Apprenticeship Programme Reaches Major Milestone

Launched nationally in January, the Level 5 Specialist Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship has already welcomed over 1,000 sign ups.

SS&L played a key role in developing the programme, as part of the trailblazer group – helping to ensure it meets the needs of both employers and learners.

Dr Diane Swift, co-chair of the group, told TA Digest:
“Having over 1,000 registrations in such a short amount of time is amazing news.

“It’s testimony to the commitment of our TAs who wish to benefit from a coherent and sustained training programme that empowers and enables their professionalism.”

And the success doesn’t stop there! As more providers begin to offer the course, enrolment is expected to grow even more rapidly this autumn.
