SS&L Employer of the Month – August 2025

Lloyd & Whyte is the latest winner of our Employer of the Month Award! The Taunton-based insurance broker has impressed us with their commitment to changing lives through learning.

Sarah Drewett‑Nation, Learning & Development Manager at the company, explained how the invaluable hands-on experience gained by apprentices at Lloyd & Whyte sets them apart from the competition.

“The hands-on experience that our apprentices obtain is different from the majority of workplaces as they work in all business areas, gaining real, hands on experience in departments such as accounts, marketing, compliance and general insurance.

“This allows those apprentices that are unsure of a career path the chance to gain exposure and experience before committing to permanent role.”

Lloyd & Whyte has worked with SS&L for over four years years, taking on local apprentices and equipping them with all the skills they need to work in business or finance.
