SS&L Employer of the Month – June 2026

“We chose SS&L because of their strong reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeships, and their tailored, supportive approach. It was important to us that we partner with a training provider that aligns with our values and puts the learner experience front and centre.”

This month we’re celebrating law firm Foot Anstey, our Employer of the Month for June. SS&L Account Manager Tracey nominated them for the award and said:

“We wanted to recognise the team at Foot Anstey for all the support they’ve given their apprentice, Ciara. It makes a genuine difference when an employer is supportive, recognising the value an apprentice can bring to an organisation.

People-first culture

Line manager to Team Leader Apprentice Ciara, we caught up with Jake, Legal Operations Team Leader at Foot Anstey Taunton. Jake’s passion for bringing out the best in his team is clear.

“What I value most about working at Foot Anstey is their people-first culture,” he tells us. “There’s a genuine commitment to investing in individuals, supporting their growth, and creating an environment where everyone can thrive. Ciara’s journey is a great example of this in practise, with the firm actively supporting her development through the apprenticeship.”

That’s why we chose SS&L as a training provider because of their strong reputation for delivering high-quality apprenticeship programmes and their tailored supportive approach. It was important to us to partner with a provider that aligns with our values and puts the learner experience front and centre.”

The importance of apprenticeships

When professional development is embedded in the company values, leaders like Jake can see the benefits in real-time. He explains:

“Investing in apprentices like Ciara not only supports individual development, but also strengthens our wider business by building a skilled, engaged, and future-ready workforce.”

He continues: “Apprentices bring fresh perspectives, curiosity, and a strong appetite to learn. This in turn positively impacts our teams. Through Ciara’s apprenticeship, we’ve seen her confidence, capability, and strategic thinking grow, enabling her to contribute even more effectively to our Managed Legal Services function.”

And what does the future hold for our Employer of the Month?

“We will continue developing our people and creating clear pathways for growth within the firm. Apprenticeships will remain an integral part of that, helping us nurture talent at all stages of their careers.

“For Ciara, and others following a similar path, we see continued progression, increased responsibility, and opportunities to shape how we deliver legal service in innovative ways. Supporting individuals to reach their full potential will remain a key focus.”

“We’re incredibly proud of Ciara and all she has achieved so far. Her dedication and enthusiasm for learning have been clear throughout her apprenticeship. She’s had a truly meaningful impact on the team! We also really value our partnership with SS&L – it has been a collaborative and positive experience, and we look forward to continuing to support future learners!”
