We’ve Signed the Get the Nation Learning Charter!
We’re excited to share that SS&L has signed the Get the Nation Learning Charter, joining a national campaign to champion the importance of lifelong learning.
Led by the Learning and Work Institute, the campaign brings together organisations from across the UK who believe that learning should be a part of life for everyone, at every age. The charter is all about creating opportunities, supporting communities and making learning more accessible for all.
At SS&L, we’ve always believed in the power of adult learning to change lives. Every day, we support people across the Somerset and the South West of England to upskill, retrain, build confidence and achieve their goals. Whether it’s gaining a qualification, exploring a new career, or simply growing in confidence. Learning opens doors, and we want to open as many as we can.
“We’re proud to stand alongside other organisations working to get the nation learning,” says Kathryn Baker, SS&L’s CEO. “Lifelong learning helps individuals thrive, supports our communities and boosts our economy. We want everyone to feel that learning is an option for them.”
By signing the charter, we’re adding our voice to a growing movement calling for better access, more support and greater awareness around adult learning. It’s a chance to celebrate the amazing learners we work with, share good practice and keep improving what we offer.
We’re be sharing more about what this means for us – and you – over the coming months. In the meantime, if you’re thinking about starting your own learning journey, we’re here to help.
