
SS&L Welcomes Three New Non-Executive Directors to it’s Board
We’re delighted to welcome three new Non-Executive Directors to the SS&L Board: Neil Sherman, Lucy Clemas and Edd Brown.
With experience spanning finance and governance, People & Culture, and further education skills, they bring valuable knowledge and perspectives to SS&L. Their expertise will help us continue to provide high-quality learning, support our employers and partners, and create opportunities for people across the South West.
Neil Sherman
Neil is a senior finance professional with over 30 years’ experience in financial management, governance, operations, and transformation.
A Fellow of ACCA and AAT, he brings extensive audit and financial governance expertise, alongside significant experience in further education through his work with college Audit Committees.
Lucy Clemas
Lucy Clemas MA, Chartered FCIPD, is founder of The People Mix, a strategic People & Culture consultancy.
With extensive Board-level experience, she supports organisations through growth, transformation and change.
A Somerset native and passionate advocate for young people and social mobility, Lucy brings valuable expertise in people, culture and governance to the SS&L Board.
Edd Brown
Edd has more than 20 years’ experience in further education and skills, spanning teaching, training, quality improvement and senior leadership.
Having held roles including Director of Quality and Vice Principal, he brings extensive insight into learner success, teaching and learning, assessment and organisational performance.
Edd joined the SS&L Board to support its continued development and commitment to high-quality learning.
