Who’s A Winner – #NAW2022

Part of National Apprenticeship Week is about celebrating some of our shining stars in the apprenticeship world – both pre-apprenticeships (traineeships) and apprenticeships!

We asked our tutors to nominate one student each for the award, each winner receiving a certificate and a Β£20 voucher in recognition of their hard work and achievements.

πŸ… Charlotte Pritchard

Traineeship

Charlotte’s attendance and punctuality is 100% and she’s shown a huge amount of progress during the traineeship programme. She successfully passed the Level 2 Functional Skills reading and writing exams.

Charlotte’s regularly asks for more work to complete at home and is well prepared for lessons. She has a positive attitude and all her work is completed in a timely manner.

She’s receiving great feedback from her employer and her confidence is growing each week!

Level 3 Early Years Educator

Jess has grown in confidence and managed to overcome several barriers in her life to become an excellent Early Years Practitioner.

She has completed a Traineeship, Level 2 Apprenticeship and now the Level 3 Early Years Workforce (Early Years Educator) with a Distinction!

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Marco has worked extremely hard throughout his apprenticeship. He’s not only performed exceptionally well within his role as Teaching Assistant at his school, but also developed massively in terms of his confidence.

He’s recently passed his End Point Assessment and is very proud of his achievement.

Level 3 Early Years Educator

Kirsty has a professional attitude and always has thoughtful contributions for group discussions.

She’s happy to help her fellow learners and works hard to submit her work regularly.

Level 2 Early Years Practitioner

Ella has progressed onto an apprenticeship after completing a traineeship. She’s worked extremely hard throughout her Level 2, now nearing completion.

Ella’s dedication to an Early Years Practitioner role is evident – she is motivated and strives to deliver the best provision to the children in her care. From the beginning of her course, Ella has submitted some excellent work and has always met the target dates set.

She shows an excellent commitment to her own continual professional development and uses available opportunities to extend her own learning and development!

Traineeship

Despite the challenges Thomas faced last year, he attended regularly and was punctual.

He always works hard when he’s in class and participates well in group activities. He’s also enjoyed his placement at Highbridge Engineering.

Last year, Thomas had to deal with a number of difficult situations that were out of his control. Instead of letting this get him down, he used it to focus on his future!

Karla has shown a true commitment to learning.

She has progressed from the Support Work in Schools (SWIS) award, to Level 3 standard apprenticeship!

Level 3 Business Administrator

Millie has gone above and beyond the expectations of an apprentice.

She has demonstrated positive changes in the workplace and continues to make them.

Millie often offers peer support to her fellow learners.

Level 3 Business Administrator

Sharif is extremely committed and demonstrates growth and development.

It’s impressive to see the journey Sharif has taken and his results to date.

Level 3 Teaching Assistant

Brendon has overcome personal and external barriers that could have potentially impacted on his continuation of the apprenticeship.

His apprenticeship has helped him identify and embed life long learning skills, such as resilience and assertiveness, as well as skills that promote his main aim, which supports teaching and learning in the school setting.

Brendon has developed good, adaptable communication skills. His confidence continues to develop well – he will share his knowledge, skills and behaviours that promote peer interaction and progression.

Level 3 Early Years Educator

Emily always completes her units independently and submits her work on time, if not early.

She’s ahead of target. She completes tasks when asked – for example her off the job training records are exemplary.

We have been out to observe her three times, and every time she has planned some lovely activities for the children.

She supports her nursery’s ‘curiosity approach’ and sets up really engaging and exciting activities that support children’s development.

Level 3 Early Years Educator

Leah is a model learner, self-motivated, dedicated and continually works hard to go above and beyond.

She contributes in sessions and is always supportive and helpful to her peers in our sessions!

Lauren is a lively and enthusiastic presence in class.

She works hard, and this month has passed her English Level 2 Writing Paper – a brilliant achievement!

Paige has received excellent feedback from her work placement. She has made a real impact!

Paige is always willing, friendly and works hard. She arrives with a smile, puts 100% into her work and is making great progress!

Paige is due to sit her Functional Skills exams this week, having passed her mock papers!
