From Level 2 to Deputy Manager: Izzy’s Journey in Two Years 🚀

🌱 Starting the Journey 

Izzy’s story is a powerful example of how apprenticeships can open doors to meaningful and rewarding careers in Early Years. In just two years, she has progressed from joining Little Discoveries, Nunney as a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner apprentice to being offered the maternity cover Deputy Manager role starting in January 2026.

When Izzy first joined the nursery in 2023, she brought enthusiasm, curiosity, and a strong willingness to learn. Through her Level 2 apprenticeship with SS&L, she gained the foundations of Early Years practice and built strong relationships with children and colleagues. The combination of practical experience and structured training helped her develop confidence and a clear understanding of what high quality Early Years practice looks like.

🚀 Progressing Through Training 

After completing Level 2, Izzy progressed onto the Level 3 Early Years Educator apprenticeship. This allowed her to deepen her knowledge of child development, take on more responsibility, and strengthen her professional skills.
