Numeracy Champions Wanted to Help Adults Improve on ‘Primary School Maths Abilities’
Did you know 49% of UK adults have the numeracy skills of a primary school child?
The Multiply project is recruiting across Somerset for Numeracy Champions to help inspire others to rethink their relationship with numbers and re-engage with everyday maths – do you have someone within your organisation who could take up this challenge?
It’s not too late to access the two free online training sessions and receive funding to embed this into your setting.
We are also pleased to announce that we have grants available per organisation, to either launch your Numeracy Champion ideas/activity, or to rejuvenate it if you have held the role for a while.
Grants are available for up to £200. To apply, email multiply@sslcic.co.uk with your name and organisation, as well as a brief description of what you would do with the money to promote numeracy skills within your organisation. Alternatively, call 0330 332 7997 to speak to a member of our friendly team.
If you would like more information on becoming a Numeracy Champion, fill out this short online form to sign up for a free online information session at 1pm on Wednesday 20th November 2024.
For those who attend, we would like to say thank you with a £10 Costa voucher.
If you cannot attend but would like more information, then please contact multiply@sslcic.co.uk and we will be in touch.
If you think you’d like to become a Numeracy Champion, visit the National Numeracy website to sign up.
