SS&L Apprentice of the Month – January 2026

“With the personality she is continuing to develop, alongside her conscientious approach to her work, Lillie will undoubtedly go far in her career”

Currently completing her Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship at Langdons, Lillie was nominated for Apprentice of the Month by tutor Denise due to her positive attitude and dedication to her learning. “This award is well deserved! Lillie is always enthusiastic, committed and positive. She is always making a valuable contribution to the group sessions and is willing to support those newer on the course too!”

Career progression

Lillie was already employed at Langdons when she was offered the apprenticeship. “My workplace asked me if I would be interested in doing an apprenticeship and I jumped at the opportunity! I was excited, but nervous – I didn’t know what to expect, but it was a new step in my career.””

“I have really enjoyed the topics within the apprenticeship. Project management has been my favourite as we work in teams and create a project we enjoy doing. Some of the work has been tricky, but my tutor has always been here to support me if I have any questions or confusion!”

Lillie’s manager at Langdons, Kay, is also extremely proud of her achievements. “Throughout her apprenticeship, Lillie has shown significant personal and professional growth. Her commitment to her apprenticeship has been excellent. She is always punctual, attends every class session, and approaches her learning with a positive and respectful attitude. Her reliability and consistence reflect a strong work ethic and genuine dedication to her development.”

“We are extremely proud of her achievement in winning Apprentice of the Month, which is a well-deserved recognition of her effort, progress, and positive attitude.”

Personal Development

“I have improved my confidence during my apprenticeship,” says Lillie. “I have had to meet new people in and out of work and on the course. My communication skills have improved too while I’m reaching out to others whether on the phone, in person, or via email.”

Manager Kay has also noticed the positive changes. “At the beginning of Lillie’s journey, she was noticeably shy, nervous, and anxious. However as time progressed, she steadily began to come out of her shell. With encouragement and persistence, she developed the confidence to take the lead in interactive work demonstrating both courage and a willingness to challenge herself.”

Looking ahead

“I would like to develop more in my workplace, learn more and more new things as well as help others while working my way up in my career!” says Lillie.

Kay agrees that she has a bright future: “Beyond her accomplishments, Lillie is a lovely individual who is a pleasure to spend time with and interact with. She contributes warmly to the learning environment, and her journey is a wonderful example of confidence growing through perseverance and support. With the personality she is continuing to develop, alongside her conscientious approach to work, she will undoubtedly go far in her career!”
