Course Details

Duration: 6-8 months

This is a distance learning course, so you can study in your own time, at your own pace. You’ll also have a friendly tutor to guide you, mark your work, and support you when needed.

Cost: £0

This course can be fully funded (FREE) for people aged 19 or over who:

  • live in Somerset (not including Bath & North-East Somerset/North Somerset)
  • have lived in the UK/EU for the last 3 years or have leave to remain
  • meet at least one of the following
    • are unemployed or
    • earn less than £25,000/year 

Somerset learners aged 19-23 who earn above the earnings threshold are eligible for funding for this course if they have not already achieved a full level 3 qualification. 

Proof of eligibility will be required.

Entry Requirements

You’ll need access to a computer or device so you can use Microsoft Teams for tutor reviews and support. You’ll also need to be able to download and upload your work as part of the course.

Assessment

You’ll complete a written assignment for each unit of the course. These can be submitted as and when you finish each unit – there’s no need to wait.

Your dedicated tutor, who specialises in this subject, will mark your work and give you detailed feedback to help you progress.

There are no exams for this course.
