Little Discoveries Nursery – Frome Celebrate’s ‘Good’ Ofsted Rating

We’re thrilled to share that Little Discoveries Nursery in Frome has been officially rated ‘Good’ in all areas by Ofsted, following a recent inspection. 

The report highlights the nursery’s warm, nurturing environment and strong focus on children’s personal, social and emotional development. Inspectors noted that “children enter this engaging play environment feeling happy and eager to learn” – a sentiment echoed daily by families and staff. 

Little Discoveries is part of SS&L, a community interest company and training provider committed to supporting children, families and communities across the South West. This is the first inspection since we took over the nursery and it is a fantastic recognition of the team’s hard work, dedication and the high-quality care and education they provide. 

Inspectors praised staff for building strong relationships with children and supporting their development with praise, encouragement and thoughtful emotional support. The report also celebrates how children are empowered to make choices, develop confidence, and learn important life skills like voting, turn-taking and problem-solving. 

The Nursery Management team said:  
“We’re incredibly proud of our team and the lovely feedback from Ofsted. Our priority has always been to provide a safe, stimulating and supportive space for every child. This result reflects the positive atmosphere we’ve built together with our children and families.”
