Course Leader – 16-19

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced 16 to 19 Course Lead to join our team, leading tutors across our Future Ready Study Programme and Supported Internship provision, while continuing to work directly with young people through your own teaching. 

This is a varied and rewarding role where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to both learners and the colleagues you lead. You will line manage and support a team of tutors, helping them to deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality learning that responds to the individual needs, aspirations and starting points of our young people. 

Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will have a teaching commitment and will work directly with learners, delivering personalised and contextualised learning that develops English, maths, employability, independence and wider personal skills. Our learners have a diverse range of needs and experiences, so creativity, flexibility and the ability to build positive relationships are essential. 

Working closely with the 16 to 19 Delivery Manager, you will help coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the curriculum, monitor learner progress and attendance, support tutors to continuously improve their practice and ensure that learners receive the support they need to achieve their goals. You will also work collaboratively with colleagues, employers, job coaches, families and other professionals to help learners overcome barriers and progress towards further education, apprenticeships or sustainable employment. 

We are looking for someone who combines a genuine passion for teaching with the ability to lead, support and motivate others. You will be committed to high expectations, inclusive practice and creating learning environments where every young person feels valued and has the opportunity to succeed.
